4 Skin care tips that are simple, but not necessarily easy

Often it’s the simplest things that make the biggest difference, and the same can apply when looking for great skin care. Here’s 4 skin care tips that will help you improve the look, feel and health of your skin.

Note though we said that is the simplest things that can make the biggest difference, not the easiest things. While some of these tips are simple not all of them are easy to apply.

1. Stay healthy.

You may have heard that the skin is the largest organ in your body. The important word here is organ. Your skin is an organ just like those other organs in your body, and just like those other organs your skin responds similarly. Many of the things that make your body unhealthy will also make your skin unhealthy, and this will become visible on the outside because everyone sees your skin.skin care tips

So if your skin is unhealthy then it will look it. It will age prematurely, it will show lines, wrinkles, age spots and discolouration before it should, and it won’t glow with health as it should.

So skin care tip number 1 is to stay healthy. You know what that means, you need to do all of the things that you keep hearing about to stay healthy. You need to eat healthy food, you need to exercise regularly, you need to keep your weight under control and more.

Remember, we said simple, not easy.

All of these things have an impact on the health of your skin. For example eating a diet higher in fruit and vegetables and fish and lower in saturated fats and trans-fats will help keep you healthier and keep your skin healthier. It is little known that the Omega 3 fats, called the essential fatty acids, are extremely beneficial to good skin health as they are to good health generally.

2. Don’t smoke.

Remember we said simple, not easy. Smoking is one of the worst things you can do for your skin. Just about everyone knows a smoker who looks 20 years old then he or she really is. Smoking ages your skin faster than just about anything else. And of course smoking can also kill you.

For anyone seriously interested in improving their skin dramatically, and who smokes, the single best thing you can do for your skin is to quit smoking. Probably better than anything else we can tell you.

3. Don’t get sunburnt.

We have spoken before about the damage that photoaging, or access exposure to the ultraviolent rays of the sun, can do to your skin. It ages your skin prematurely, increases the risk of skin dryness, age spots and discolouration, and makes you look way beyond your years.

And we have pointed out that, within reason, it is possible to reverse skin sun damage. However it’s not possible to fully reverse serious sun damage, you need to be extremely careful.
